Visual Communications Film Festival
Directors' Guild of America
Los Angeles, CA

Harold and Ellen Kameya, who are featured in the film as the parents of a lesbian daughter, attended the film screening and made themselves available for Q&A after the film. Harold reported:

The Director's Guild has two small theatres and one large theatre.  We were in one of the small theatres.  It sat about 35, and it was sold out.  Eight filmmakers and actors came to the front for Q & A after they showed all four short films.

The questions about In God's House were general: How is the film being received? How did you find PFLAG? I said that the film was being received very well, but that the purpose of the film was to start dialogue in the individual churches and we were having a difficult time getting a toe-hold doing that.

Two gay couples, Chinese immigrants with white partners, came up and engaged us in dialogue for some time after the Q&A.
