Yu-shan Theological Seminary
Pacific School of Religion’s president Bill McKinney showed In God’s House
to a group of about 150 students and faculty at the end of his lecture on
“The World of Theological Education” at Yu-shan Theological Seminary,
a Presbyterian seminary serving the aboriginal peoples of Taiwan.
He also showed it to a small group of faculty at Taiwan Theological Seminary in Taipei.
He reports that “The video was well received in both places. LGBT issues are seldom talked about openly in Taiwan (although the Presbyterian Church has issued a report in the past year). People felt the video opened the door to conversation and that it invited a conversation that starts with pastoral rather than political issues. The subtitles got rave reviews too.”
